How to Become Free!

How do we Become Free from our obsessive, compulsive and addictive nature?

First things first. We let go and let God!

We become born again!

RELAX!!! First, get rid of what the world thinks, all the clichés and how it perceives being ‘Born Again’.

Becoming Born Again simply means that you invite Jesus Christ into your life. That you believe in Him, that He died on the cross, that His Blood was shed and His body was broken for you, for your sins, and on the third day he rose from the dead. He wants you to repent, to turn away from your past life, your addiction, your sins, to follow Him.

And it’s FREE. This is just between you and God. There is no ritual or religious method to become born again.

Just as Jesus died and became new, so we are called to do the same thing. To become spiritually renewed. To get rid of our old nature and become new! Recognize you are a sinner, that your life is messed up, that you can’t go on any longer doing it your way and acknowledge Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Thats it! From this point on you are a new creation, a brother, a sister in Christ!

See, in God’s eyes, addiction is just a sin, not a disease.  The bible doesn’t talk about a specific ‘disease’ that you have to live with the rest of your life.  We were born into a sinful world, and as we continue to disobey God, He gives us away to our hearts desires; addictions, lust, idols.  (Romans chapter 1 and Deuteronomy chapter 28)

When you give your life, wholeheartedly to Him and CONTINUE seeking Him DAILY, He will free you from bondage, from your addiction, He will free you from being a slave to any substance!

Start surrounding yourself with positive, productive people who are on the same mission as you. Seek help. Seek God. Renew your mind one day at a time. Change only happens if something changes!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if ANYONE is in Christ, he is a New Creation, the old has gone and the new has come!”

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
